FAQs

How far in advance should I contact my designer when ordering wedding flowers?

A good rule of thumb is a year to nine months out from your wedding day. This gives you and your florist enough time to have a consultation, meet and discuss your vision as well as walk the venue. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the details figured out, its our job to walk you through the process!

What’s a good floral budget?

A realistic floral budget is about 10-15% of your total wedding budget. Things that can affect this are the size of your bridal party, guest list and how elaborate you wish to get either with installations or specific flower varieties. The Flower Forager offers A La Carte packages, Full Service packages and Elopement packages. We will meet to discuss which option is best for you.

How much money do we need to give you to be booked on your calendar?

We require 50% of the proposal total. The remaining 50% is due 30 days before your wedding. Please note the initial 50% is non- refundable.

Why are wedding flowers so expensive?

There is a lot that goes into wedding florals besides just the flowers themselves. This includes the time spent building your proposal, deciding which flowers to include in arrangements based on your personal style as well as ordering flowers and hard goods from multiple vendors. The week of your wedding, we receive, process and prep all material. Once that is done, we artfully design all your arrangements and personals and store them to maintain freshness. The day of your wedding, we deliver and set up all florals. If you have any chuppahs or arch installations those are usually done on site the day of which requires time. Although it may look like magic, there is definitely a lot that goes into making sure your wedding florals are arranged and delivered to you seamlessly!
